A new pizza restaurant is coming to Cape Girardeau, according to the newest business licenses from the city's Community Development Department.

Tom Jorgensen of Summit Pizza Inc. out of Blue Springs will open a Pizza Hut location at 2118 William St. He owns 131 additional Pizza Hut franchises across eight states, including the 1015 N. Kingshighway restaurant in Cape Girardeau.

The William Street location had previously been a Check Into Cash payday advance center. This Pizza Hut is scheduled to open Tuesday, Sept. 17.
