Hundreds of Corvettes will cruise through Cape Girardeau on Aug. 27 as part of the National Corvette Caravan. Starting at 3 p.m. at Capaha Park, the event features a parade, car display, and live entertainment.

The Corvettes of Southeast Missouri will host a Corvette Caravan on Tuesday, Aug. 27, as hundreds of Corvettes from across the nation make a stop in downtown Cape Girardeau. This event is part of the National Corvette Caravan, a notable gathering for Corvette enthusiasts heading to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The Corvettes of Southeast Missouri is a car club dedicated to individuals and couples who own Chevrolet Corvettes in the Southeast Missouri region. The club also is affiliated with the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC).

The event will kick off at 2:30 p.m. at Capaha Park, where those participating will gather for the Cruise Down Broadway part of the event. The cruise will begin at 3 p.m. and proceed down Broadway to South Main Street.

At 4 p.m., local Corvette owners will have the opportunity to show off their rides in the parking lot across from Big Sandy’s Superstore. This display will allow attendees to have a close-up look at the vehicles.

Local Corvette owners are encouraged to participate by joining the cruise and displaying their vehicles.

Options for entertainment and dining will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Participants can dine with the caravan at local restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors and food trucks. The Fault Line Band will perform in the beer garden from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Corvettes of Southeast Missouri Car Club serves Corvette owners throughout the Southeast Missouri region. As members of the NCCC, the club is part of a larger network of Corvette enthusiasts.

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is the destination for Corvette owners and fans. The museum tells the history and legacy of the Chevrolet Corvette, making it a great endpoint for the National Corvette Caravan.

The event in Cape Girardeau is a unique and fun opportunity for locals and Corvette enthusiasts to come together, celebrate their passion for Corvettes and enjoy a day filled with activities and entertainment.
