Two local seventh and eighth-grade youth soccer teams won big on Veterans Day. The Poplar Bluff Predators and PB Phoenix traveled to Sikeston to compete in the Sikeston All-Star Soccer Tournament and returned home together as champions. After battling through other teams, the Predators and Phoenix faced off in the championship game, where the Predators walked away with first place after a 2-0 win. Though Phoenix didn’t get the gold, they still left with smiles by claiming second place.
