EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — The Missouri Baseball Coaches Association's (MBCA) All-State teams unveiled two East Prairie Eagles among the Class 3 honorees, a fitting reward for a season filled with memorable moments, clutch performances and the program’s second district championships in three years.

Noah Johnson and Owen Knight, key contributors to the team’s 20-10 season that culminated in a run to the state quarterfinals, were recognized for their exceptional performances.

“Both of them have worked hard and deserve the recognition,” said East Prairie coach Gary Scott. They were major contributors to our team’s success.”

Johnson, a standout on the mound, earned a Class 3 Second Team spot. The junior pitcher led the Eagles in innings pitched (62.1) and compiled a stellar 9-2 record.

He racked up an impressive 106 strikeouts while maintaining a stingy 2.13 ERA.

Johnson's impact wasn't limited to pitching; he also proved to be a valuable asset at the plate, hitting .283 with eight doubles, a triple, two home runs, 20 RBIs, and 33 runs scored.

A senior outfielder, Knight garnered an honorable mention for his consistent offensive production. His team-leading .310 batting average, coupled with 26 hits and 20 RBIs, demonstrated his ability to get on base and drive in runs. Additionally, Knight showcased his versatility on the mound, pitching 46 innings with 64 strikeouts. Knight's presence at the plate and on the mound proved invaluable.
