CAPE GIRARDEAU

Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the following calls. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

Assaults

• Second-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping were reported on Whitener Street.

• Joel Huey, 53, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license suspended/revoked, speed, fail to have insurance, fail to register motor vehicle, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Assault

• Assault reported in the 700 block of West Independence Street.

DWIs

• Jose Rodriguez De Anda, 32, of Union City, Tennessee was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to drive in single lane.

• Merlin Tucker, 18, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to display headlights.

Thefts

• Theft was reported in the 3300 block of Ridge Road.

• Theft was reported in the 2300 block of Bainbridge Road.

• Theft was reported in the 1200 block of Woodland Drive.
