Cape Girardeau Police log multiple arrests, assaults, DWIs, thefts, and other incidents from August 20, 2024. Highlights include several warrant arrests, domestic assault, child endangerment, and weapon discharges.

CAPE GIRARDEAU

Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the following calls. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A warrant arrest was reported on South Plaza Way.

• A warrant arrest was reported.

• A warrant arrest was reported on North Main Street.

Assaults

• Third-degree assault and resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony were reported on William Street.

• Second-degree domestic assault, second-degree property damage and first-degree kidnapping were reported on Stonebridge Drive.

• Third-degree assault was reported on Cape Meadows Circle.

DWI

• Driving while intoxicated with a person under 17 years of age in the vehicle, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of an accident were reported on Jefferson Avenue.

Thefts

• Shoplifting, resisting/detention/stop by fleeing and delivery of a controlled substance were reported on William Street.

• Shoplifting was reported on Independence Street.

• Theft was reported on Siemers Drive.

• Second-degree burglary and second-degree property damage were reported on South Hanover Street.

• Second-degree burglary and second-degree property damage were reported.

• Theft and fraud were reported on New Madrid Street.

• Theft was reported on Brenda Kay Court.

• Second-degree burglary was reported.

• Unlawful use of a weapon, discharging into home, motor vehicle or other transportation method was reported on South Sprigg Street.

• Failure to register motor vehicle/trailer annually with director of revenue, operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, driving while revoked/suspended and resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing were reported on Big Bend Road.

• Property damage was reported on Oak Ridge Court.

• Dale Kirby, 58, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant.

• April Sullivan, 43, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant.

• Jania’a Hall, 20, of Jackson was arrested on a Jackson warrant.

• Candy Diebold, 53, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau Municipal warrant.

• Ashley Eigenbrod, 34, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of failure to register motor vehicle, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Nicolas Wingo, 20, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol and speeding.

• Trespassing was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
